After you get your role try and set goals and ambitions in regards to where you want to take it. Remember not every company is going to be able to get you to where you want to go and typically people tend to move on after 2-3 years. It is not a reflection on the company but more on the individuals needs.

Why?

Goals give you focus and a sense of direction in which you areas you should spend some time developing. Having clear and realistic goals can also be very motivating and they can give you a clear indicator to measure your effort, growth and achievements.
